Councillors and officers have the chance to shape the LGA’s future sector support offer by completing a short survey at local.gov.uk/sector-support-survey.
In 2025/26, every English council and strategic authority engaged with at least one form of LGA support, with 3,400 instances of direct support delivered.
Work is now under way to shape next year’s programmes, and the LGA wants to know which support local and strategic authorities find most valuable, as well as any new areas where support is needed.
This will ensure future programmes continue to provide the support the sector needs. The deadline for responses is 9 November.
